To our 2023 Sponsors, Family, Friends, and Supporters,
Thank you for your continued support of our race team. Without you all, we would not be able to do what we love to do every weekend. As you know, we are two juniors in college. We are truly blessed to be able to continue to have our shared love of racing and spend quality time with our family and friends every weekend. Racing is a family sport for us, and that reality isn’t possible without all the wonderful people behind us.
Our 2023 season was one to remember. We started our season at a brand new track in a brand new state for us as a race team. This trend continued as we reached over 5 different states this summer for racing. We racked up some stats along the way in our rookie season. We were one of the first rookies in our class to make both of the national level race series’ features. We had a personal best at 141 Speedway where we fought from 13th to finish 9th with over a 40 car field, we made our personal best number of feature appearances this season with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Car Season.
Like we had mentioned earlier, Madeline and I are two juniors in college. At times, it can be difficult to juggle both racing and school during racing season and the school year. However, in the previous months of our junior year of college, Madeline has continued to grow as an educator and is currently student-teaching in a 5th grade classroom. I have continued my studies in Chinese and received a scholarship for next semester on behalf of the linguistic department. We both are incredibly blessed with the opportunities at school as well as the track.
Our 2023 season is wrapped up, and as we continue to juggle our 2023 school year with our 2024 race season ambitions, we are optimistic to learn from 2023 and come out of the gate swinging in 2024. This will also be the last season that Madeline will share the last name of the “King of the Sherm Nation” 2016 IRA Champion Jeremy Schultz before our wedding in the early weeks of 2025, where I will change her last name; It’ll be the greatest day of my life.
Once again, to our 2023 sponsors, supporters, family, and friends, thank you. 2023 was one of the best seasons yet, and we cannot wait to see what 2024 has in store. Madeline and I are currently working on our 2024 sponsorship proposal and plans to elevate our marketing presence. We are proud to be supported by all the amazing businesses in 2023, and we are looking forward to 2024.
We’ll see you at the track in 2024,
Preston Ruh
